When you carve your pumpkins do you save the insides to make pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, bake the seeds?? Here are some fun ideas to season your pumpkin seeds!!!
Let’s start with how to bake pumpkin seeds in general!!
Remove everything from the inside of your pumpkin!
Pull apart the pumpkin and seeds!
Set the oven to 400 degrees!
Wash the seeds and remove the rest of the pumpkin guts! May take 2-3 washes!
Place in paper towels and pat them dry!
Make a single layer of seeds on a baking sheet!
Add slices of butter around the pan and then sprinkle/drizzle the rest of your seasonings on top!! (Use butter with all recipes below!!)
NOW TIME FOR THE FUN PART!!
Here are some fun seasoning mixes for your Pumpkin Seeds:
(Season to preference!!)
Keep it simple with Butter and Salt!
Try Salt && Garlic Powder!
Dill Seasoning, Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper!
Sugar && Cinnamon!
Macha Powder
Maple Syrup, Brown Sugar, & Pumpkin Pie Spice
Ranch Powder!
Cocoa Powder & Sugar!
Brown Sugar && Pumpkin Pie Spice!
Sea Salt & Carmel Sauce! (Add the carmel sauce in the last 5 minutes)
Parmesan Cheese, Dried Oregano, Salt, Garlic Powder!
Cayenne Pepper, Brown Sugar, Salt & Pepper
Place in the oven for 20ish minutes! Stir after 10 minutes to make sure they cook on both sides! They are ready when they are golden brown!
Let them sit for a little bit after removing to get crunchy! If you eat them too soon, they may still be a little chewy!
Try to add some of these to your salads at dinner too!!
