Let your smile change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile! I have always heard this saying and thought it was an amazing reminder to not let anyone take away your happiness! HOWEVER, I am ALL for Smile Brilliant whitening up this smile! Ya, I know that was a little cheesy lol but it’s for real! The amount of meetings and networking mixers we attend, photos we take, and my brother’s wedding coming up, I need some assistance!!

I did a store bought teeth whitening strips a few nights before my wedding a few years ago to help brighten my teeth up! I did it a few nights before because I heard about the sensitivity and it was real!! I wanted it to wear off before the wedding! I never had braces or dental work done other than my annual cleanings, I’ve gotten pretty lucky with that! As you know by my blog name, I LOVE coffee, so I know that doesn’t help with my color though! We started the brand repping with my daughter and I’ve jumped in with her and I noticed I was having the urge to whiten my teeth when editing photos! Instead of editing my photos, I thought I should have that white smile 24/7 and in person!! Which is where we are at now and that’s when I found Smile Brilliant!!

I ordered the Kit from Smile Brilliant! Here is it!! You make the impressions of your teeth, send them back to the lab and then they send you the custom trays to start your whitening! It’s so simple and made, literally, just for you!! I won’t lie though, I haven’t done anything like this before so I was nervous about if it was all worth it and if I would totally just mess this up!

It came with 2 impression trays, 3 sets of impression material, an envelope with paid postage to send your impressions back, and the whitening and desensitizing gel syringes!

So, let’s get this started!!

I read the directions so many times that I spent more time reading how to do this correctly than the amount of time it actually took to make my impressions!! It seriously was SO easy and took about 10 minutes total to mix and set for BOTH top and bottom teeth!

Fold and knead the impression mix together!

Quickly press it into the tray before it starts hardening and then press them into your teeth for 3 minutes! The directions with the box explain a lot more, but it really is as simple as it sounds!! I was thinking, this is going to taste like play doh and 3 minutes is forever to have play doh pressed in my mouth! BUT it wasn’t bad at all! It had absolutely no taste, which was amazing and it doesn’t get like rock hard, it’s more of a firm dough! It was so easy, like I’ve said a million times, BUT it really is!! I can’t get over it, I was surprised!

You fill out the card and put it all in the envelope and ship it off!! THAT’S IT!!!!

Now we wait 3-5 days and they will send my trays back so I can start whitening!! I cannot wait! I don’t know why I was nervous about this!?

About 1 week later I received my trays!! That was quick!! Now it’s time to start the whitening!!

My trays fit perfectly too and they aren’t thick, heavy, or hard! Make sure you put the top teeth on the top and bottom on the bottom! I will not fully admit that I put the bottom tray on my top teeth and couldn’t figure out why it felt off! SMH!!! Mom Brain! Totally blaming it on that!! After I fixed that!!!! I was still able to carry on a conversation with my husband and tell my 14 month old “no” 50 million times because she is getting into everything lately !!!! I’ve tried strips before and I felt like the strips always moved and they scratched my gums or that I couldn’t talk because they would fall! The trays didn’t do this at all! I am still in awe of how comfortable they are actually!

This is when you get your gels out! Each gel can be used for 3-4 applications and has a little lid you just cover the tip with in between uses!! Brush with only water before whitening!!

You put a thin layer of the whitening gel on the front of the trays (the orange one)! You leave on for 45 minutes to 3 hours! I started with the 45 minutes for the first time and will work my way up to longer! I want to see how my teeth do!

PS I’m writing this update while whitening my teeth! I love this! Getting work done and whitening my teeth!! I have not felt any sensitivity so far! I don’t mean to keep referencing the whitening strips but it’s easy to compare to and so you can see how you’d do with these too! After an hour of the whitening strips my teeth and gums were sooooo sensitive!!

After 45 minutes (or longer) you brush your teeth with toothpaste like normal! Put a layer of the desensitizing gel on just like the whitening and leave that on for 15-30 minutes! Remove trays but don’t rinse or brush for 20 minutes…just spit (this will leave a thin layer of desensitizing gel on your teeth) && then go to sleep they say! It is the best to whiten before bed so the desensitizing gel has time to absorb into teeth and you are not introducing any food/drink that could stain!!

They say you get the best results with 7-12 sessions but to stop when your teeth don’t get any whiter!! Here are my results after 8 sessions!

I took this photo in the sun compared to the shade like the others! I don’t know if you notice, my smile is bigger too!! I am loving this summer weather and now that I’ve started on my tan && I have white teeth!! I have that confident smile back!! I feel like this summer is going to be the best yet!!! I’m ready for the photos!!! NOOOWWWW on to working on this mom bod 😉 Too bad there isn’t a gel for that!! 😉 lol

I have a few of the gels left and will continue to whiten my teeth about once a week  (possibly more for a special occasion) to keep them white!! It is so easy to just reorder gel too!! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to brighten up their smile again!!
