Today my husband and I are celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary! Below I created a chart that is a guide to the Modern and Traditional ideas for gifts! I love following this age old tradition!! I believe it’s important to celebrate these milestones and celebrate your marriage! Just like Valentine’s Day, yes, you should show your spouse love everyday! However, I see absolutely nothing  wrong with having a day to go a little above and beyond for each other!!

Last Year, was our 1st Anniversary! I was VERY pregnant! We had a bundt cake like our wedding cake was made out of! This was our last day of life before baby! We were running around getting last minute things ready and then went to a super fancy dinner! I love getting dressed up but I was so discouraged because I couldn’t find any fancy dresses to wear that would fit over my 40 week pregnant belly!! We went to the hospital the next night to get induced!! Year 1 gift is Paper! We agreed we wanted to spend our money getting our last minute baby items and that Penelope’s birth certificate would be our paper gift! She’s our most favorite gift!! (Yaaaa all cheesy!!)

Year 2!! The gift this year is cotton! I like trying to be creative with these gifts as you can see! Today we went and got a hour and a half long couple’s massage! {Cotton sheets on the beds!!} lol It may be a little far fetched but after how crazy life has been lately and how busy it’s about to be!! (We will be moving in about a month and a half!!) We wanted to take a minute to relax!! HUGE thank you to my SIL && BIL for watching Penelope for us && to my parents for the gift card to go as an anniversary gift!! Yay!! Baby free celebration!! Keeping the tradition of mini cakes to celebrate! 😉
